At last, you can enjoy melt-in-your-mouth doughnuts from Krispy Kreme without leaving here in Iloilo City. This was formally annouced via press conference, Krispy Kreme in Iloilo will open on November 30. And this will be their 59th branch in the Philippines.
Let's have a little information first about the history of this doughnuts. Vernon Rudolph bought a secret yeast-raised doughnut recipe from a New
Orleans French chef, rented a building in what is now historic Old Salem
in Winston-Salem, North Carolina and began selling Krispy Kreme
doughnuts on July 13, 1937 to local grocery stores. The delicious scent
of cooking doughnuts drifted into the streets, and passers-by stopped to
ask if they could buy hot doughnuts. So, he cut the hole in an outside
wall and started selling hot Original Glazed doughnuts directly to
customers on the sidewalk.
Because of its popularity, I remember when I saw some people on the street carrying a box of KK. Then I wonder, is KK here in Iloilo City already? I really thought It is already open in SM City (as what I heard about it). But sadly no, It's not yet here. Therefore maybe it is coming soon. :D
When my sister texted me that Krispy Kreme will soon to open here in Iloilo. I really feel excited. And what's the exciting part is... PROMO TIME!
